Exploring some of the smallest fractals of Emergent Strategy and the beloved quote from Grace Lee Boggs centering critical connections, this body of work considers both the limitations and invitations of tending to our closest relationships as a tool for transformative change. These images invite each of us to deepen our commitments to show up, take action and build the power needed to make a caring world.
At this critical moment of explosive imperial violence and accelerating climate chaos may we refuse to abandon each other amid the normalization of mass death and the rise of fascism. May our resistance be the love that weaves the world back together. May despair never have us so that together, we can be “willing to build the things we know must exist”.
For a variety of reasons, primarily my increased focus outside of my studio, this calendar includes both mixed media cut paper images AND digitally drawn images.
